On March 31, 2023, my husband and I attended one of your speed dating events at Diesel Bar in Melbourne Central. We were complete strangers – I believe I was number 10, and Salvatore was number 19.
Little did we know that night would be the beginning of our forever. We hit it off instantly, and those five minutes didn’t feel long enough for either of us. It was an instant yes on both sides.
Two days later, I received a message from Salvatore. He didn’t want to seem too keen to set up a coffee date, so he organised one for two days later. We met for coffee, which turned into dinner, which turned into a good night kiss, and I’ll see you tomorrow.
From there, we saw each other every day. We quickly knew what we had was something special and became “official” by the end of that week on April 9, 2023.
Fast forward five and a half months to September 16, 2023. Here we were, with the moment we had been waiting for. Salvatore got down on one knee in front of a hot air balloon in the Yarra Valley at 5:30 am and asked me to be his wife. I couldn’t answer yes quickly enough. It was the easiest answer I could have ever made, regardless of the time we had been together. We just knew.
We moved into our first home together in October 2024 and tied the knot on our love on March 9, 2025.

How It Works
The night itself is straightforward but full of energy. From 7 to 9pm you’ll rotate through twelve five-minute mini-dates, with women seated and men moving table to table. Everyone gets a name card, and you’ll use our Matching App 4.0 to keep track of who you click with. We’ve built in an ice-breaker round to loosen things up, plus a short intermission around 8pm so you can grab a drink and chat informally. Conversation cards are scattered on the tables to help spark ideas if nerves hit, but most people find the chat flows easily. Unlike dating apps where ghosting is just a swipe away, here you know by 8am the next morning exactly who picked you, and you’ll receive their contact details directly. Yes, if you can’t make it you can transfer your ticket to a friend, providing they are the same gender and age range that you booked for.
On the night simply scan into our QR Code to access our Matching App 4.0. From there just enter that nights Event Code, your starting table number, mobile number, name and email. From there you’ll be texted and emailed a joining link. Click that link – you’ll then be able to see/ select anyone you like directly though your phone.
All matches are sent at 8am the following day. Even if you don’t select someone, you’ll still receive their contact their details if they selected you
