Why Sydney Singles Choose Speed Dating Social
At Speed Dating Social, I founded our events, by running them. What that means is that over the past 3 years I have personally run hundreds of events, we’ve actually run over 700 full nights. And in that time we’ve learned a thing or two about speed dating in Sydney.
Firstly, we’re very good at filling events, like really good. We always book around 40 people per dating night, with the bigger ones in Melbourne having as many as 100 people. I know it sounds crazy but we drain our bank account on ad spend so when you turn up, the venue is full of equally booked ratios and you’ll always have plenty of people to talk to.Ā
Having run so many events over the years also means we’re also quick and efficient. So as you turn up, you’re promptly looked after, are assigned your own table and given a name card. That way you can easily show who you are to the other attendees and don’t need to keep saying your name again and again.Ā
We also know you appreciate events closer to Sydney’s CBD and the ones on Friday and Saturday nights fill the best. So I personally source the best Sydney bars to find the most accommodating venues for you. I also know sometimes people no-show, and while that is life, I deliberately allow a spacer every 6 tables, that way even if there’s two no-shows you, only have to sit by yourself for 5mins before having another full half an hour of chats before being hit with another empty spot (instead of sitting through multiple empty spots in a row).
I’ve also worked tirelessly with two developers to design our matching platform. Yes, we started back in the day with paper cards, but thanks to a 4th update and a very hard working team, all you do is scan a QR code on arrival to sign into our matching platform. So you don’t have to download a dating app, just enter the event code so that we all sign into the same event. From there just enter your first name, your starting table number an your contact details. You’ll then be able to see a full list of attendees on your phone.Ā
When you want to match, just press the ‘Match’ button next to someone’s name. That’s it, our cloud software saves your preferences and you’ll get your matches contact details the next day. There’s also a ‘Friends’ option if you’re feeling it more as mates, and don’t worry if you forget, you have until 8am the next day to finalise your answers. And even if you don’t select someone, from our Bondi Beach toĀ Manly events, you’ll always find out whenever someone wants to match with you.Ā
