How It Works
Now, let’s talk about what you can expect at our speed dating event. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a name card and scan a QR code to access our Matching App 4.0, where you’ll see a list of all attendees. After some initial mingling at the bar, ladies will take their seats while the gentlemen rotate every 5 minutes. You’ll have 12 mini-dates in total, giving you plenty of opportunities to make connections.
Use the app to mark your potential matches as either ‘Match’ or ‘Friend,’ and you’ll receive their contact details at 8am the next day if the feeling is mutual. The event typically runs from 7pm to 9pm, with a fun ice-breaker game during intermission to keep the energy high. We always ensure an equal ratio of men to women, so you’re guaranteed to meet new people. Many attendees find this face-to-face interaction far more enjoyable and effective than popular dating apps like Tinder or Bumble.

The Village Bar, our chosen venue for this Midlife Mingle, is more than just a bar – it’s a Perth institution. Originally built in the 1920s as a wool store, it was transformed into a bar in the early 2000s by local entrepreneur Sarah Thompson. This rich history adds a unique charm to your speed dating experience, with exposed brick walls and vintage decor creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The spacious layout is perfect for our event, allowing for easy movement between mini-dates.
One of the bar’s standout features is its impressive craft beer selection, which can be a great conversation starter during your dates. Of course, we always book equal 50:50 ratios. That’s why there’s a limited amount of both Male/Female tickets

If you give us minimum 7 days warning before an event, by our email matches@speeddatingsocial.com (not social media comments or DM requests) and if it’s agreed upon, then we can transfer your ticket to another posted event (not an untimed credit) of the same age range.
Yes, if you can’t make it you can transfer your ticket to a friend, providing they are the same gender and age range that you booked for.
On the night simply scan into our QR Code to access our Matching App 4.0. From there just enter that nights Event Code, your starting table number, mobile number, name and email. From there you’ll be texted and emailed a joining link. Click that link – you’ll then be able to see/ select anyone you like directly though your phone.
All matches are sent at 8am the following day. Even if you don’t select someone, you’ll still receive their contact their details if they selected you
