Melbourne Speed Dating Event 40-65yrs

Just wanted to let you know Lucas & I started dating after this event and are still together. We live together now, and are actually back at Miranda Tequila Bar tonight on a date night - the place we met. Nearly 4 years in, crazy how time flies. Hi team at speed dating social, My name is Andrea. I’m not sure if you’re interested, but my husband and I thought we’d share a success story with you! On March 31, 2023, my husband and I attended one of your speed dating events at Diesel Bar in Melbourne Central. We were complete strangers – I believe I was number 10, and Salvatore was number 19. Little did we know that night would be the beginning of our forever. We hit it off instantly, and those five minutes didn’t feel long enough for either of us. It was an instant yes on both sides. Two days later, I received a message from Salvatore. He didn’t want to seem too keen to set up a coffee date, so he organised one for two days later. We met for coffee, which turned into dinner, which turned into a good night kiss, and I’ll see you tomorrow. From there, we saw each other every day. We quickly knew what we had was something special and became “official” by the end of that week on April 9, 2023. Fast forward five and a half months to September 16, 2023. Here we were, with the moment we had been waiting for. Salvatore got down on one knee in front of a hot air balloon in the Yarra Valley at 5:30 am and asked me to be his wife. I couldn’t answer yes quickly enough. It was the easiest answer I could have ever made, regardless of the time we had been together. We just knew. We moved into our first home together in October 2024 and tied the knot on our love on March 9, 2025. Thank you for hosting these events. Thank you for helping bring us together. Because of this event, you brought two soulmates together, and we couldn’t be happier.

When I went to my first speed dating event, I had zero expectations – less than zero actually. But yup, when I walked into that bar, I saw him and went all nervous. I wouldn’t say our first conversation was scintillating. I don’t even remember what small talk we made – maybe our jobs. At the end of the event, I saw him sitting alone and asked whether I could sit next to him. He said he wanted to see me again and I said the same. We are now happily and exclusively together. If I have any advice to give anyone, it would be to give speed dating a try. I was lucky to have found my person the first time around. But I had been online dating for a year with no success. You may not find someone the first time or the 10th time, but at least these guys take the trouble to show up and put their best foot forward. They are making the effort which is more than I can say for some people on online dating sites – and that’s not even counting the sleazeballs. – Jane

I just wanted to let you know… That I won’t been attending your next event. I had already purchased the ticket earlier… I attended the last event and had a wonderful time… after I worked up the courage to actually walk in… I was so nervous and almost didn’t go in but I am really glad I did I have made a connection with a great guy and am looking forward to pursuing that and seeing how we go.
