Whether you’re coming from the bustling streets of Nedlands or the artistic vibes of Leederville, getting here is a breeze – just hop off at Subiaco Station or catch the 97 bus right to our doorstep. Not sure what to wear? Keep it smart casual – the ladies at Cult Status Boutique on Rokeby Road or the gents at Parker & Co. will sort you out with the perfect outfit that says “I made an effort, but I’m totally chill about it.”
How It Works
Let’s break down how the magic happens: you’ll join 40 other singles (that’s 20 men and 20 women – we’re sticklers for balance) for a night of 12 five-minute dates that’ll fly by faster than your coffee break. Ladies, you’ll be comfortably seated while the gents do the musical chairs routine (don’t worry, guys, we promise it’s worth the leg workout). From 7-9pm, you’ll be armed with our conversation cards and the slick Matching App 4.0 – think Tinder, but with actual human beings in front of you. There’s an 8pm intermission to catch your breath and maybe grab that liquid courage, and here’s the best part: no awkward number exchanges. The Village Bar itself is a Subiaco institution, with its exposed brick walls and mood lighting that hits different after sunset. The venue’s recent renovation has created intimate conversation nooks perfect for our speed dating setup, and the acoustics are just right – you can hear your date without having to do that awkward lean-in thing. Pro tip: order their signature espresso martini – it’s a conversation starter and confidence booster rolled into one. Plus, you’re just a stone’s throw from the iconic Regal Theatre – perfect for suggesting a second date to catch a show. Who knows? If you give us minimum 7 days warning before an event, by our email matches@speeddatingsocial.com (not social media comments or DM requests) and if it’s agreed upon, then we can transfer your ticket to another posted event (not an untimed credit) of the same age range.
Yes, if you can’t make it you can transfer your ticket to a friend, providing they are the same gender and age range that you booked for.
On the night simply scan into our QR Code to access our Matching App 4.0. From there just enter that nights Event Code, your starting table number, mobile number, name and email. From there you’ll be texted and emailed a joining link. Click that link – you’ll then be able to see/ select anyone you like directly though your phone.
All matches are sent at 8am the following day. Even if you don’t select someone, you’ll still receive their contact their details if they selected you
